Left Birmingham in frosty bright sunshin, but as we enterred Worcestershire the freezing fog waslying in the fields and valleys. The RAF planes that were based in Croome towards the end of ww2 and into the jet age of the 1950's would have had difficulty flying in this pea soup. They developed radar here at RAF Deeford and planes tested if from the small airfield just behind Croome House. Today, as weell as the house, church,and canteen, there is a small museum.
