Moseley Berkswell

Moseley and Berkswell cricket clubs play in the Birmingham league

which managed to get some games in towards the end of the summer in the face of Coronavirus.

Following a serious defeat by Berkswell the previous weekend they batted first on Berkswell's scenic Warwickshire ground.  Andrew Umeed batting at no 4 with few runs on the board, began his innings with his usual calm and determined manner. He slowly, but determinedly reached 50 runs. Within the 40 overs scheduled he began to increase his hitting rate through the 60/70/80 and 90's with real focus and power to reach his century. With his final partner Brinder Phagura, he lashed out with boundaries despatching 4 balls out of sight. He amassed a total of 117 runs not out. Moseley went on to win by 33 runs.
